EDITS DONE IN RED
My Mom lives in a Condo with a Canbana, there is a Full Kitchen we can use. Lets have a small shoe box swap/lunch potluck. This event is In the Everett Washinton area, near I~5.
This will be a FULL card swap
Details:
The Date will be January 7th (Saturday) 10am to no later than 7pm
SIGN UP DEAD LINE IS: January 2nd I will need you to bring me your REQUIRED refundable Deposit on the day of the event. No One will be able to sign up after this deadline as those who have choosen to partake in this event will need to know how many projects to cut for.
Every one will bring a Shoe Box style Swap,(if you dont know what a shoebox swap is then please ask so you too can join in the fun!) it must be 2 layers or more and at least 1 embellishment of some sort.I have changed this to OPEN to any products not just stampin up to gain more intrest in the event. If its needed to make your swap you must bring it.... IE: like a heat gun. Lable all your items so we know who they belong to. Please bring your stampin scrub and mist to clean your stamps when the project is finished.
Every one is REQUIRED to pay $20.00 twards the $150.00 Deposit on the Cabana. (The deposit is to insure no damage like a stamp pad inking up the carpet... or the embossing gun melting something....It also needs to be as clean as it was when we made the reservation) All money will be refunded to you when "We as a Group have throughly cleaned and restored the Cabana to its original shape)
(This info has been edited and deleated on 12/2
Potluck Lunch:
This does not need to be a big effort. But it means more than chips and dips. Be fair on the amount you spend. (Two or more friends can go in on a more expensive thing to eat) I think Bottled water or beverages would be best for less spillage on our stamping tables and the carpet what do you think? Bring your own beverages
If those of you who join want to have a gift exchange let me know. We can work on these details. Maybe as easy as everyone bring something worth a set amount value, and everyone goes home with a door prize.(?)
General intrest is that we all bring a gift. Now, what is the monetary value going to be? $10.00 or $15.00? Not everyone has to particpate, if you bring a gift you WILL go home with a gift. Sounds fun eh? This gift does not have to be something Stamping related but something you would enjoy receiving. We will play the stealing the gift game, where the gift can be taken away from who draws for it. I will explain the day of the event. SO, whats our value going to be?
There will be a basket to donate or RAK a full card to my Mother, who set this up for us. (its the least we can do for a FREE event)
I have children and love them, but this will be a Mommy free day.

Reason: Updating thread.....silly :O)
I'll also ask a couple of my friends who are demos (but not on SCS) and my SIL if they are also up for it. I will bring my layered oat brownies and a fruit salad or fruit tray.
I am up for a $10 door prize.
Can't wait to hang out with you all!

Reason: forgot about door prize
I was reminded this morning that that day is a family birthday, which I don't want to miss! I don't know what time the party is, but doubt I will make it after all. Sorry :o( But will try to catch the next event.
I vote for a full card size swap and $10 door prize.
I hope more people can join!
(There are a couple of nice hotels for out-of-towners to stay in. I can help find one if anybody wants. I also have a guest room for someone child-friendly. )
I would love to join in on this. I have been hoping for a while that someone would be able to get a WA SCS gathering together. Please count me in. I am not sure what type of dish to bring just yet. I am in for a $10.00 door prize. Last but not least. Where do we send our reg. fee? Jeannette
Will it be yoiur Birthday????? wooho wouldnt that be a fun day for you!
I will put you down on this list if you change yoru mind for something like a HOT date let me know.
As for food, when you decide let me know, I will post it as for all will know what will be available.
Reservation, I have put the money down to "reserve" it but the week after Christmas everyone that is comming will get my address to mail me the fee that is refunded to you when you help clean up. (sounds easy huh)
Keep your eye on the original post as new information will be added in a new color each time I edit.
I would love to join in on this... I just need to check my calendar. Can I let you know for sure next week? Also, is the event strictly limited to demos? If not I may have a friend or two interested.
Anyone can join if they feel they have something to offer as far as creativity goes! Remember its a potluck so all who sign up needs to bring something yummy!
I will check with my scrappers group I think thats the same day. I want to come play put have to check firsts. Sounds like fun. Can a teenager come if she wanted?

I think it would be ok if your teenager came but she also would also need to bring a project, in the end it would short change those of us who supplied the projects for the amount of people who came. Does that make sence?
Everyone attending/wanting to participate (spelling) is required to bring a project.
Let me know if youd like to join us and at that time I will edit you in the origional thread. :O)
I know this is a busy BUSY time of year but ya'll have untill Dec, 30th to make a decision as that is the dead line for the event! This event is a GO no matter how many sign up.
Now that the Holiday is over, lets get some creative people who would like to spend the day stamping and making new friends. Hurry the deadline is in a few days!
Okay, I got SleepyinSeattle for ya. Put me down and me & sleepy's friend MaryHelen. She doesn't have an SCS id. Don't know what we're bringing for food but we'll be there!
