Brayers do some cool things. Yes, you can use them with rainbow pads and roll on cardstock for a background.
1. You can add rubber bands, or saran wrap around the wheel and roll it for a totally different rainbow look.
2. You can ink giant/background stamps with them.
3. Great for adhereing papers together without bubbles.
4. When coloring a heat embossed area with markers, run the brayer over the embossed area to remove the leftover wet ink from markers.
5. Brayer over bubble wrap, rubber drawer liner, or other textured things with ink, Turn surface over and press onto cardstock. The ink will transfer over a leave a print.
6. Write on brayer with markers and rol over the paper for stripes, or plaids, squiggles, confetti, or dots.
7. Joseph's Coat technique can be done also- brayer over glossy cardstock, Stamp bold image over brayered area, Emboss with clear powder, Brayer over with black dye ink, wipe off area with damp tissue- the color pops.
8. Brayer over dried swipes of rubber cement.
9. Resist- stamp with versa mark onto glossy white, brayer over with multi color inked brayer, The stamped areas resist the colors.
10 Mist glossy paper with water, roll brayer( lucite) over with colors- gorgeous watercolor look.
