My Microsoft word is not working and I cannot pull up these directions! I so love the technique and have always wanted to make a card like this!
I guess I will have to go borrow somone's computer to pull up the directions as having the computer fixed hasn't worked seeing the Microsoft word has been down since April.
Thanks for these great directions Beate! I converted the word file into a PDF file for anyone who would like it....especially amyboomboom whose MS word isn't working
Thanks again
Ashley
PS I've noticed, on my computer, when an attachment is a pdf I have to right click and do "save target as", save it on my computer and then open it. Clear as mud?
Hey Ashley-You are my new best friend! Thanks SO much for convetiong the directions! I printed them out, but seeing that it is 11:15pm my time and I do have to rise early tomorrow for work I have to put trying this idea until another time.
I think everyone on this site is fantastic! Sharing ideas and answering questions. I am relatively new here, but feel like I know some of you like good friends!!!
Thanks to Beate for initially posting the directions, and to Amy C. for originally writting them up! I have actually been looking for diections to this card for several months! I guess I should have just asked here! Of course, I did not know the name of the card then either!
I have found that if you change the measurements to 1/2", 2 3/4" 2/34" and
2 1/2" that you can make 2 slider cards out of one sheet of card stock. That way there is no waste. Just MHO.

What is 2/34? I'm not sure that I understand this.

I'm guessing that it's to score so you have 4 panels that are 2 1/2", 2 3/4", 2 3/4", and 1/2" ( as opposed to the 2 1/2", 3", 3", and 1/2" measurements that are in the directions given in Beate's attached file...)

I cannot for the life of me make this card work! I've printed off all the directions given in this thread... but it won't pull, and I think I did something wonky because you can see the square punched out section through the circle punched out section at the back of the card.
I saw the trrim the tree card done with this technique in the gallery today and now I desperately want to try it!!
I dont understand the reason for the plastic addition. I created this card and stuck one small insert in one section and added a ribbon so I can pull it up and down and I stuck the 2nd small cardstock in the next slot from the bottom up and I can easily grab it .... however, these pieces can come completely out of the card easily too. Can you explain the point of adding the plastic and how to fit the 2 small cards in better....and how they pull and if they are supposed to pull completely out! Thanks Sue
Beate, I found the slider card instructions you got from Amy Celona yesterday.
I started to make it but realized all I had was the shell instructions.
Could you possibly send me the instructions and sizes for the slider?
Thank you so much,
