A few weeks ago I recommended a new challenge idea and had interest in the idea. So I posted this in the Weekly Challenge forum and am reposting here. Please join in...and I can't wait to see your ideas.
For the first challenge I would like to propose Bag Books. This was new to me until about a week ago. I had never thought to use lunch bags in this way.
What you need:
Lunch bags - at least 2
Brads or Eyelets
And stuff to decorate your book with
Some special considerations....Tape down the bag bottoms before you add the decorations. Also, tape down the the folds before you put on the eyelets. You can visit this link Gallery at Splitcoaststampers for some GREAT directions on how to do a 6 page book.
Have fun with this and please list 3D01 in the keywords. I look forward to seeing your projects!
Here is the link to my first attempt at this type of project. There are 4 images associated with this project.
O.K. I looked at the samples. They are beautiful. I would like the original directions for this project, please? This is a super great concept. And i happen to be the type of person that really needs directions. Thanks in advance! Taishea ;)

I looked at the photos and they are so neat! I can't for some reason get to the directions. Can someone email them to me? Just the directions. Thanks ahead of time.... [email protected]
Since there seems to be some renewed interest in this challenge, I am going to post the directions:
Take 2 lunch bags and fold them in half. Score 1/2 an inch along the folded end. I glued my scored pieces together with one bag nestled inside of the other. Punch holes in the 1/2 inch fold and tie off with ribbons and/or eyelets.
Now you are ready to decorate your pages and the cover. You can trim the closed ends and used the open ones to make secret pockets to hold gifts or tags, etc. You can also just glue the open ends together if you like.
You will now have a 6 page booklet. If you want more pages, just add more bags before glueing.
If you have other questions, please feel free to PM me.
I am planning to post a new 3D-Challenge this weekend...so stay tuned!

Lunchbag Book Camp
On July 1st I did a lunchbag scrapbook camp at my son's school. There were 50 kids and 6 teachers. They had a blast. The were so creative. All of them are future scrapbookers. I also got a stamp club signed up because of it.
One of the little girls came up to me and said " I thought this would be boring, but this it fun. Can you come back?" The school wants me to come back at the end of July and August.
Plus I walked away with $300 in fees for the workshop. That it what the school paid me for coming. 2hrs work. I love it.
here is a bag book I did for a friends birthday. After everyone saw this they were dying to do a class. But i am unsure of what that would look like. I mean.... should I do a theme and let them add pictures later or do something along the lines of this book which features several different techniques?
