I have 3 different sets of directions:

The first says to use 1 part clear embossing powder to 1 part sugar free jello.

I have other directions that say 2 parts embossing powder to 1 part sugar free item ( jello, koolaid, pudding, any spice)

I also have another set of directions that say 3 parts embossing powder to 1 part sugar free item...

I took 1 part clear embossing powder to 1 part sugar free jello...It was alittle gritty but smelled wonderful...I am planning on trying out the other directions to see how they turn out...

I know that all the directions stated to use ONLY SUGAR FREE ITEMS...because of insects (mainly ants); animals & small children will find your creations and destroy them by eating, licking or worse attracting more critters....

Hope this helps!

Hi Lisa, what I have used for scratch n sniff cards is one tablespoon clear embossing powder to one packet of kool-aid (unsweetened).

Mix it together, and then emboss it as if you would regular embossing powder. I have found that cherry works best. Some of the colors you might have to stamp with a colored craft ink, and then sprinkle the powder mixture, as some of them do not have great coloring.

Doing scratch and sniff is fun (and easy!) I use 1:1 embossing powder and sugar-free Jello. Green eyes is right in saying to use only _sugar free_, but mainly because the sugar carmelizes and makes a sticky mess.

I've found that you do need some color behind the embossing mixture, but since I don't have any craft pads, I stamp using my classic pads, then stamp the Versamark over it and emboss that. Here's a sample of one I did recently:

Default Scratch and sniff with coffee.

Has anyone ever done this with coffee. I'd love to try. I think I will and I'll let you know.

Hello there, I have recently used this technique with coffee and it worked really well if you use glassy glaze. I used instant coffee granules and mixed them with glassy glaze, then embossed. You do have to crush the granules a little bit for the best effect.
