OK, all... I finally figured out this card and took pics of my step-by-step making of one and included directions...
PM me and let me know if there is any confusion in any of the steps and I'll fix it!
Have fun!

UPDATE!
OK! So... Jenn says that ya'll should right click on the file name and choose "save target as" and save it to your hard drive and then you should be able to view it. If it STILL does not work for you, it may be that your Adobe Reader needs to be updated because the file is version 7.0, which just came out not too long ago. If you need to update this, go to www.adobe.com and on the left side there will be a "get adobe reader" icon. Click on this and it will bring you to the page where you can download the latest version. Good Luck!
(If it just will not work for you, PM me your email addy and I'll try to send it that way!)

Cindy... some are getting into it just fine, others can't open it at all.
It was suggested that you should right click and click on the "save target as" and save it to your computer and then you should be able to open it. Otherwise, give me your email and I'll try to email it to you. I am running Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional, so I think that might be where the issues are coming from!

YAY!
I am so glad ya'll were able to get into the file! LOL. I was getting scared that I did something wrong when uploading it because no one seemed to be able to see it. I guess the issue really IS not having version 7.0 of Reader... though some have been able to right click and save to their hard drive and THEN open it...
Thanks for all of your compliments... It took me near 1 1/2 hours to figure out the SU directions the first tiem I made one! I NEED PICTURES! LOL. I hope these are MUCH easier to follow and that more people can make them because they are seriously so easy and sooo much fun!

I got the file to work, but I do have Adobe 7.0. Great instructions with pictures. Thanks for sharing! I used the ones already in the Techniques section to do a "vertical" waterfall for my stamp camp yesterday. Everyone loved it.
Thank you for the awesome instructions, I'm a visual person and this helped alot! I tried working on one last night and got frustrated, can't wait to try again, you make it look easy.

That is EXACTLY why I decided to go through it step by step and make up my own directions... I was so confused by the one SU posted - I seriously got done with my first one after almost 2 hours of agonizing over those directions and putting adhesive in all the wrong places... and told DH I'd NEVER make another one... LOL. Luckily, I did go ahead and make another one that night (took me like 15 minutes and half of that was picking the color and the stamps!) because otherwise I might never have tried it again!
When I realized how really easy it was, I knew I had to play with my "work tools" (QuarkXpress and Adobe) and make UNDERSTANDABLE directions for all of the other "visual" learners out there!
I am so glad you are excited to try again, because I think these are my new favorite type of card!

Thank you so much for taking the time to do this...the step by step pictures are perfect. Now this template-challenged gal feels that even she can demo this card!
Take care,
Denise
This is so cool. I'm going to make one of these and try to follow the directions step by step. I've never seen one of these IRL so have no idea what is really supposed to happen! LOL!

I just have to comment on how amazed I am by this card's sudden popularity. It's a design that has been around for several years (the first time I saw the directions on a website was 6 years ago) with few people paying attention to it. I've always been fascinated by mechanical cards and never understood why this one wasn't used more often. I'm loving all the samples in the gallery
I did have a problem opening the file but I figured it out.... Save it to your computer just as they mentioned originally. After you locate the file, right click, and select Open With and choose Adobe Acrobat. It should work just great!! Thanks so much for the instructions, you can't believe how much it helped!!
Thank you so much. I'm also a visual person, so to see it instead of just reading is great. Always liked these cards but too chicken to try it. Maybe I'll get busy now.
I tried to open-- and I do have adobe7.0 version. Wouldn't open-said error in attatchment process. Could you email it to me instead? Thanks in advance! Taishea<[email protected]>
