Default What do you put in a paint can?

I'm currently making a paint can for the woman that takes care of my daughter. I just don't know what to put inside. What have you put inside a paint can?

It depends on what she likes. I am making some for the teachers at my DS school. I am putting in a Barnes & Noble gift card, some popcorn, some candy, and a bottle of water or coke (depending on which teacher). I got that idea from a thread about teacher's gifts where someone did a blockbuster gift card with the popcorn, etc. If you're looking for a relaxation theme, go with maybe a scented bubble bath, loofa sponge, small bottle of wine (single serving size), etc. Just think about what she likes then pick a primary "gift" and then some accessories. Make it fun and she'll love it, especially since it came from your heart.

How about a coffee theme? She loves coffee and I was thinking of using the Espress Yourself set. I have a mug from Starbucks to put pics in. I was thinking a gift card from there as well. Anything else you can think of to go with that theme?

Nope Click the link below and you will see how several SCS artists have used the paint can as not only their canvas, but packaging for special gifts as well...

How about some chocolate if she likes it? It seems to go well with coffee.

Hi,

I love the paint cans. Where do you get them? At the hardware store?

I love making the paint can gifts, they're such a hit!

If you lookin my gallery, you can see what I have filled some of them with. I have also done ones with matching picture frame hangers, books, pens etc. The teachers ones I just did have a lot of general fun stuff in them, all matching. I liked the idea of a gift card suited to the person receiving the can with little fun stuff thrown in for filler!

Talking

I like your coffee theme...I think little cookies or chocolate, maybe a mug...wait you said you had one, sorry...a GC, any of those would be good. I'm participating in a local fair this weekend, and I made graduation cans, with the local schools' colors, and I'm putting a disposable camera, a little photo album, those 2005 glasses the kids like to wear at graduation, and a car magnet that says 'Class of 2005' I think they came out really cute. I have to still take pictures of everything, but once I do, I'll post here with at link. Good luck whatever you decide to do!!
