"ok stampers, it is time to do a little yard work!!
Yes that's right, go out into your yard and find something to use as an embellishment on a card. Nothing man-made, something real, that grows or is from the earth.
Now lets get back to nature." Have Fun!!
I am here if you have any questions.

Great challenge Dorinda!!! Unfortunately, all I saw when I went out to grab my daughter is toads and bugs....I don't think they will hold still long enough for me to stamp around them!

call me a dork, but I have a family of bunnies that sleep in my yard at night, and I don't want to disrupt them! (It's mini-wild kindom in my yard, all the critters know they can come into my yard to find food and refuge!)... Maybe I'll get up early and do this one tomorrow morning after the bunnies have scampered off.
Have fun everyone! I'll see ya at the next challenge!

2013-
Get creative with your thinking ladies and gentlemen, pebbles, sand, twigs, dry grass, flowers, leaves, dirt, dead bugs.....hmmmmmm what else does one find out doors??
I'm finally all caught up, somewhat. Now I just have to go into the mosquito infested backyard (the counts were over 13,000 per trap in parts of my city!) and find something fun to add to a card. Somehow, I don't think anybody wants to see how many squished mosquitos I can get on a piece of cardstock and then use as a background... Perhaps daisies instead.
Okay, I'm not whining! This was fun! except for a minor bug infestation in my stamp room which slowed me down a bit. Who knew Mimosa trees were a nesting ground for little bugs? Okay, we all did. But it was still fun.
Hi Dorinda, I had no excuse (other than the fact that I have a very small yard and all of my flowers are either closed or passed...) but I did grab a lily ... what's left of it. I hope you like it! Luckily, it didn't rain here today (but man is it muggy!)
Luckily it wasn't quite dark when this challenge started, so I ventured into the wilds of my backyard, among the rocks, weeds, fire ants, wolf spiders, and dog poop! I did have a little help from DH - he reached up to get the twigs for me, and he got bitten by the ants!
I love my yard and we are huge gardeners. I just learned how to do shaker cards this morning in my stamp club and I have a herb garden right outside the back door. So I collected some basil seeds and put them in the shaker.
