10:30 JULY VSNG . . . Streaking!
OK Ladies, grab your alcohol . . . . its streaking time!
Follow these directions to make a card using the Streaking Technique:
You can get this look 2 different ways:
#1 Wet a cotton ball with rubbing alcohol and place a few drops of reinker on it. Drag the wet cotton ball across white glossy cardstock. Add more colors or leave it as is. Do one color at a time or many together. It dries fast and will be ready for use as a background or to stamp on in no time!
Example: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
#2 Limited Supplies? You can get a different streaking effect by dragging your cardstock against your stamp pad. Lay the cardstock on an open stamp pad and drag with moderate to heavy pressure.
Example: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Have fun ladies!

Here is a piece of glossy paper, just glorious green streaked on top part, then added orchid opulence on the bottom

? for you
Is this similiar to the baby wipe technique? I don't have any alcohol, but used reinker with a babywipe & glossy cs. Now to put it together on a card!
Here's the link, this tech looks great!

I'm thinking you should have had this one before the last one....the something outside one. Maybe someone would have qualified for this one without even stampin anything. ;)
A little streaking!!! I know that is bad. Have fun, I can't wait to see what you all created tomorrow, but now it's off to bed for me.

I can't say that I know for sure, but if a baby wipe is what you have go ahead and use it . . . I bet the effect will be close!

Here's my latest creation. It turned out way creepier than I expected, there's something about black on red that screams scary. But I had a good time! And I'm ready for the last one!!!

don't have reinkers
I wanted to do the first way with the rubbing alcohol, but I don't have any of the new colors in the reinkers...so I tried it a different way.
I squished my stamp pad on an old CD, then picked up the ink with a cotton ball soaked with the rubbing alcohol.
It worked!! Sorry, I can't show any pics of it, don't have a scanner, but I wouldn't lie to you. LOL

Oh, my gosh! This was fun! I kind of got carried away with adding colors, but when I was finished - it kind of reminded me of Northern lights. This is a cool technique - I'm glad I tried it! Can't wait to do it some more!!!

That is the best thing about stampers . . . . innovation during hardship so we can endure! How inspirational!
