I saw an advertisement for a class at Archivers (unfortunately there isnt one located here in Utah) for a Ribbon Box class. Does anyone know how to make a ribbon box and can post instructions or a link to a website that has instructions? TIA!

I think that one of my creating keepsakes magazines had an article with great instructions on how to make one of these from a photo storage box. When I get home I'll look for it. If I find it, I would be happy to photocopy the article and mail the instructions to you.
I attended one of those workshops back in may and it was really easy. All we did was take one of their photo boxes and punches holes in it and decorated it. We used the anywhere hole punch to make the holes. HTH
I made this box all by myself and you can too! I purchased what I needed from Archivers and made it myself by you could use other supplies just the same. You just need a photo box and an eyelet tool set. Turn the box on the side and use your eyelet hole maker and get hammering the number of holes you need. I used a ruler and spaced the holes and made two rows. It came out great.

I have been to some websites that sell these, and some often offer plans for sale if you know someone handy. If I see them again I'll post.
Is this in the demo forum? I tried to click on the link but got a message that I didn't have access (I am logged in). Can someone move the info Jenn's referring to to a location where all can access it? Thanks!

Hey there, I am sure by now you have figured out how to do this, BUT I thought I would add yet another place which is where I figured out how to do mine.
I used a plain white photo storage box from Hobby Lobby (it was on sale for only $2) and went to Walmarts sewing department and bought a grommet kit (same as eyelets, just bigger) I spaced them where I wanted and hammered away I still am planning to "decorate" mine but I can't decide what stamps to use and colors, so for right now it is plain white.
I attended the Archiver's ribbon box workshop and was not impressed with the box. And the $20 was definitely overpriced. This box does not have rods in it to hold your ribbons in place. It works great if you have ribbons in a box (like Archiver's sells...and again these are NOT worth it as there is not much ribbon on a spool) but I do not use the box now because I haven't found a way to keep the ribbon from falling over. If anyone has any suggestions on holding ribbon up on this Archiver's box, I would really appreciate it!
