Default micro beads

What are some of the different uses for micro beads? Also, how do you attach them?

You can attach microbeads with stick strip or terrifically tacky tape. If you only have the strip you can place them side by side to cover a bigger area. Terrifically tacky tape is also sold in sheets.

You can also use them in shaker cards!!

Those are the only two things that I have used them for so far.

Take care, Brenda

I have used the Zig brand two way glue pen to make a "drizzle" on a card. Then pour the beads all over.

I've done this technique using crystal effects too.

I've also bought some of the larger seed beads and attached them to specific areas on a card using the glue pen or CE (such as the center of flowers, the collar on Cool cat, etc.)

you can use terrifically tacky tape to bead onto pens. I'm sure the instructions are on the site somewhere.

I use crystal effects too. The beads will not fall off, and it gives a really cool look to your project.

You can also adhere them with glassy glaze (ultrathick embossing powder). Sprinkle them on when the ep is still warm and sticky.

We have weekly classes that incorporate micro beads in some way, and the files and photos are filled to the brim with ideas to boggle your mind!!

Right now I am making ornaments for Christmas,... take two glass slides and sandwhich a picture in between them (vintage holiday photo, family photo, anything!) then run 1/4" O'So Sticky Tape all the way around the edges to hold them together and dip into colored micro beads! A tiny strip of tape over the top makes a hanger - beaded inside and out! They are really pretty and O'So EASY!!
Is the 1/2 inch tacky tape too wide to use on slides? I found some at Michael's today and wasn't sure which one to buy. The 1/4 inch just looks like it isn't wide enough when using beads ... and the 1/2 inch looks kind of wide.

Also, when using foil tape, what is the correct width to use on slide mounts? And where do you find copper or silver foil tape? I looked at Michael's, Joann's and WR Crafts today ... and NOBODY carries it! :(

Thanks for your help!
