Scrappin/Stampin Weekends
My sister-in-law is the manager of a hotel in Erie. Someone she knows booked a scrapping weekend at an inn that included scrapbooking, a trip to a spa, and two nights at the inn. She is trying to see if her hotel can put together a similar package that might be attractive to scrapbooking groups.
They have a meeting room that would be available and they can set up 10 tables (one for each person) for a total of ten people. They dont have a spa, but they thought they could package it as something like Scrap and Shop." Since PA doesn't have tax on clothing they thought it might be attractive to groups in Buffalo or Cleveland to come to Erie, get away, do scrapping with friends with a little bit of shopping. It would include their indoor pool and breakfast and they could arrange to add lunch and/or dinner.
What kinds of things would you look for to make it more attractive? Of course, the more added the more per person it would cost. As it stands, their group rooms for tour groups are $74.00 per room per night. It would be $37.00 for two people sharing, $24.00 for 3 people and $18.50 per night if four people share. Then we would need to add the cost of the extra items: lunch, dinner, pop, coffee, munchies, an activity etc. The meeting room would be complimentary and you would be able to use it all weekend until about 1pm on Sunday.
I did mention to her that she might be able to place flyers with any of the local scrapping stores in Erie.
What would make this kind of a weekend more attractive to you? Any thoughts?
