We had so much fun last August that I'm thinking about next year already! Anyone up for Round 2 in Gwinnett County? We are close to the Mall of Ga. and Discovery Mills Outlet and lots of other shopping if you want to make a week end of it. I am hoping to get our meeting room at the library depending on how many stampers are interested. Give me an idea of what time frame works for y'all~ I'm thinking March or April? What are your thoughts?????
Sounds fun! I hate that I had to miss the last one! I would love to attend. March looks like a good time to me. I know that I have some things in April or May, but I can try to work it out if those months are best for everyone else.
Any chance there'd ever be a GA get together SOUTH of Atlanta? I'd love to come to one, but can't take that long of a trip during school and between quarters I'm in Virginia! :(

Hi Andrea,
I was hoping you would find this thread! I am not going to the Stamping Convention this week end. I am trying HARD to use what I have! LOL!! Did you ever call your library to see how many they can seat? I still need to check out Collin's Hill to make sure they have table as well. Would like to keep other places in mind too, just in case we have a really big turn out
Hope we can pull this off & yes, I was counting on you!!!
I'd love it if it was south of Atlanta too! Maybe central Georgia? It's a six hour drive for me to Atlanta, which makes it tough. :-( Let me know if anything happens with a more central location!

Here's an idea and depending on the response I can check into it. How would every one feel about having one in February in Macon? It's kinda halfway for most people. Let me know.
I just talked with our "library lady" and we can have it there as long as no one buys/sells product. If you want to have the "yard sale" you would have to do it thru this site & transfer goods in the parking lot ;) I need 90 days notice to book the room, it has 8 tables & can seat 36 stampers comfortably.
I think we have enough stampers interested to do a south get together as well as a north get together. Plus some of our Tenn. friends are thinking about a spring get togther up there, we will be stamping fools!
So.... keep the feed back coming & we'll figure it all out.

Just thought but do you think we will be too loud for a library?
We did have a lot of noisy fun the last time. LOL

Two and a half hours I might be able to do -- if I can get away from my studio project for a day, then count me in for a south Georgia get-together!

I would love to do a swap in the gwinnett area!! I would also like to offer that if we do it on a weekend I will open up Scrap and Stamp Haven for an open retreat.. which means you would have a place to spend the night if you are coming from a distance - and have stamping space to work on other projects!! We could do the card swap there if the group is small.. we seat 18 stampers in the main crafting area.
take a look at the website www.scrapandstamphaven.com. I will be updating it shortly with photos of the bedrooms and main crop area.
But either way I would love to do the swap!!

Macon is too far from me, I live right near mall of GA and Discover Mills. I can do any month but May.

Dody, where would this be and how much? I wasn't able to make the last one.
Alyson,
well..... almost in your backyard!!! the Collin's Hill Library is 5 minutes south of the Mall of Ga.- just off of state route 20. As for cost, the library is free, lunch & drinks could either be "bring your own" or take a collection & order in.
If we did have it here we would have to put a limit of 36 stampers due to space. What did we have last time ~20 or so? & that was plenty,IMO. I am still up for any ideas anyone else has. I just wanted to get the ball rolling & see what happens.
Krista,
Last time we did a shoebox swap where everyone prepares enough cards for each stamper to make themselves. All the 'fixings' were put into baggies with directions included & a sample card already made. We would make a card & then move on to the next box until we had finished all of the cards. At one time we played The Dirty Stamper game (think Christmas, draw numbers to pick a gift still unwrapped or steal someone else's gft) This could be played again or left out, we'll vote.
The scrap & stamp haven sounds wonderful! It could be a real possibity. Keeping the total to 18 shouldn't be a bad thing.... toward the end last time I was *praying* for some EASY cards!!!lol! Where exactly is this located? and yes, it would be on a Saturday, like last year.
Keep the input coming! After all this is supposed to be what's best for the most people. I could either organize it or step away and be totally happy either way :p
Macon area sounds great to me! I am in central Ga I have been to gwinnett it takes almost 3 hours to get there. Macon is only 3 hrs from central Alabama so maybe some can come from there. shoebox swap for 36?

This looks interesting for lots of stampers~ are you willing to run with it?
Can we get a count of who's interested & where they want to go~ northside; southside: both
no worries, Andrea! I was just waiting for everyone to say whether they want Gwinnett or a southside swap. As I can only 'take' 36 names I wanted to make sure before I put them down. Is your sister interested & if so, what's her name?
