Question Beading Technique

I am new to all of this so this question is probably old news, but, on the Altoid lids there are a lot with designs with the micro beads. How in the world can you make such a perfect design with tape and those bouncy little beads? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks again everyone, I love this site.
Cindy

I have never done an Altoid tin and only just started using the microbeads for a card. I ran the cardstock strip through my Xyron and then sprinkled the beads onto the sticky side. Then with my heating tool I swept over the beads a couple of times. It seemed to work really well! Not sure if this is how others do it and am curious about others process...

I don't know if this is what your looking for but...I've stamped cardstock and colored it in...with your markers, colored pencils, whatever...then placed a sheet of double sided tape (I can't remember exactly what it's called and it's not so much just tape...it's like double sided sticky paper!) over it and then your beads on top of that...if you use clear beads you'll be able to see your stamped design below it. I've never tried heating it up afterwards...but I bet it's a good idea...might make them stick longer! (I kind of left out the parts where you paint the tin and cut the paper(s) to size...but you get the idea!)

Labels are are great idea...I used Mod Podge to get the original cardstock to stick to the tin though...

I use address labels cut to size and Tacky Tape sheets. I've found if I use anything less than Tacky Tape or Sticky Strip, it just doesn't hold. Heating it up REALLY helps it stick.

After I put the tape on, I pour the beads in to a Powder Pals tray and press the taped tin into the beads.

Here is one of mine...
