Color Lifting

Control your color lifting with a stencil and damp cloth.
Supplies
- Watercolor paper (Fluid 100 140 lb Cold Press used here)
- Water based ink or watercolor paints (Stampin’ Up!® Misty Moonlight Classic ink used here)
- Paintbrush and water (SU Water Painter used here)
- Decorative mask or stencil (SU Adorning Designs Decorative Masks used here)
- Washi tape or other low tack tape
- Other supplies as needed to complete the project (used here: Stampin’ Up! Misty Moonlight Cardstock, Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set, Misty Moonlight and silver Baker’s Twine, Wonderful Snowflake Embellishments)
Step-by-Step

Step 1
Tape down watercolor paper to keep it flat.

Step 2
Add a wash of color in water based ink or watercolor paint and allow to dry.

Step 3
Tape a decorative mask or stencil on top and dab with a slightly wet paper towel, pressing into the watercolor paper to lift the ink.

Step 4
Remove the mask. Embellish the card as desired.

Step 5
Complete the project.
